After a wonderful trip we reluctantly returned to Idaho Falls for our flight home. We had a little extra time so we visited the Japanese Serenity Garden down town near Idaho Falls (the waterfall). It is also the site of the first wagon bridge over the snake river.

As a last reminder of how things are different out West, I walked back to the car over this train bridge. The pedestrian part was in disrepair with boards missing from the rail and from the decking but there were no signs of warning or barricades. No one came to fuss at me for my own protection. It seems that they expect you to take more responsibility for your own self out here. People are more self-reliant; and that feels right to me. The End!
