After seeing the Grand Prismatic Spring we headed North to the lovely little town of Gardiner which guards the North entrance to Yellowstone.

We stayed in the "Park Hotel", a historic inn. After getting cleaned up we set out on foot to explore and to find some dinner. In the first shop we set foot in, Elizabeth found a perfect Stetson hat for me. After that, while looking for places to eat we lucked into "Wonderland" which had outdoor dining and could feed gluten free and vegetarian eaters. Between the Pahaska Teepee in the morning and Wonderland, this day was shaping up to be a turning point as far as food was concerned.

While we waited for a table at Wonderland, we walked around Gardiner a bit but I don't remember much from that because I was busy coordinating a neighborhood rescue operation for Silver, our ancient kitty who has recently decided she needs to meet (and be fed by) everyone on our street. She must have really been getting around Emory road because I got 3 or 4 text messages from different numbers and a similar number of voice mails. Here is a picture of the cat in question.

After that was all sorted out it was time for dinner. We had a great meal at Wonderland. Here is a picture of me with my new hat in the Wonderland courtyard.
